Planning for the future

Following completion in 2020 of our building and renovation project,our plans for the Charity's future are as follows:

To repay the mortgage,taken out to help with the funding of the building project,hopefully over the next 10 to12 years.

To set money aside to ensure we have financial reserves for major renovations in the distant future. It is already clear that gas heating will have to be replaced by the early 2030’s, in all likelihood by clean energy electrical appliances and as time goes on, we need to plan for our cottages becoming out of date once more and needing to be completely renovated.

However in the immediate future we are planning some major garden improvements that we hope to complete by the end of 2022. 

We will also continue to maintain the cottages themselves from daily wear and tear through regular maintenance and repair, to ensure high standards are maintained for our residents. 

We welcome donations from Charitable Foundations and other sources but cannot rely on these alone to fund our long term plans,so need to build up our reserves ourselves,which we do from investments,as well as donations from the general public.
